Haptic Treshold Test

By means of this instrument the human “haptic threshold” can be measured.

That is, the individual perceptual threshold for active manual exploration. The test

consists of 15 Haptic Pads (Stimuli forms of parallel groves and ridges with different

distances). The Haptic Pads have to be angled by the test subjects just the same as

a reference stimulus. The angular deviation between the test simulus and the

reference stimulus is the measured value. Test duration: 20-30 min. During testing

the eyes of the test subject may remain open. Due to the construction of the stimuli,

the structure can be felt but not seen.
